A few shots from along the way to Thunder Bay, Ontario.
A view of Lake Superior.
| We drove right along the water nearly
the entire way from
Sault Ste. Marie to Thunder Bay.
Nina at the Sleeping Giant National Park campground.
Can you see the "sleeping giant"?
The Thunder Bay harbor area.
| The day that we arrived in Thunder Bay, there was
a huge Jazz Festival
in the park alongside the harbor. We very nearly couldn't find
a parking place. This is the old train station.

The harbor was truly lovely.... we walked, shopped and ate
ice cream (maple walnut.... this is Canada after all...)
Have you ever heard of tiger stripe ice cream? Black licorice and orange sherbet. Nina tried it..... it's gross!!!
A lighthouse in the distance...
A romantic bridge over a harbor side lake and beautiful park.
The park where the Jazz Festival took place.
The lighthouse just a little closer.
Row after row of boats.
An old Canadian caboose....
One last view of the Thunder Bay harbor.
